Bajka (Steppes Bajka Niezapominajka)

bajkaBajka, which translates from Polish as “fairy tale forget-me-not” (CH Wars Steppes Piquant X CH V’Indra’s Steppes Silhouette) has unsurpassed movement with fabulous reach and drive. She is sound in every way, coupled with her intense mahogany red color, she is distinctive and compelling.

Bajka is attentive, watching for your most subtle cues and nuances. She is easy going, but also independent and will hesitate just long enough to let you know that she would rather have things on her terms. Bajka keeps the schedule in the household. When it is bed time she comes and tells me and will not go to bed until I do. If I don’t come fairly soon, she comes back and reminds me that it is bed time again. She will repeat this until everyone is in bed.

Oddly enough, until she was a year old, she was rather unconcerned about humans and then, seemingly overnight she became a devoted companion, wanting to be with me constantly and, preferably touching me with some part of her body, i.e., lying on my feet, on my lap.

Bajka is what every borzoi should be - beautiful and the classic borzoi personality, very sweet, willing to please with a calm, quiet nature and lovely temperament. She is a pleasure to be around both as a companion and a show girl.

Bajka was mated with Guzzi Steppes Moondanz Paradox and whelped six gorgeous puppies The Spirits Litter on February 12, 2007. Of those puppies, Champagne, Kahlua & Calvados are beginning their show careers.
