Zena (CH Steppes Moonlight Serenade)

Zena has been a joy to show and keeps us laughing with her smiles. She is almost identical to her sire, Remus (Bizzi B Remus De Lobo) except in coat color and has her dam's steady personality (Czuma Carska Chluba).

Zena was brought to Gabe (CH Revelstone Gabriel O’Bokhara) at his home at Revelstone Borzoi in Reno, Nevada for mating.

Both Zena and Gabe are known as the more dynamic ones in their respective households, being a bit too rough in play for some of their family members - but not for each other! They were a match made in heaven and they produced a heavenly litter. These are their offspring you see in the ring today:

• Guzzi (Guzzi Steppes Moondanz Paradox)
• Aprilia (Aprilia Steppes Moonlight Muse)
• Quinn (Steppes Moon Over Parador) originally named “Benelli”
• Pavo (Pavo Steppes Dulcet Moonsong)

The theme of this litter was twofold. They were called Pavarotti and the Biker Gang, all but Pavo named for classic motorcycles. And, we kept the “moon” theme from Zena’s registered name as well.

As to Zena’s character - this should illustrate her nature - I go upstairs, Zena goes upstairs. I go downstairs, Zena goes downstairs. I sit on the couch, Zena lays on top of me - and she's boney! So, we've learned to suffer rejection occasionally and "Go lie down over there!"

One of her nicknames is "Miss Stiff" because you can roll her over with one leg, she freezes when you tell her to "stay", and she gives crooked smiles and does anything you ask. She is insistent and persistent. She is also constant, devoted and reliable in any circumstance. She is intense and statuesque and a classic beauty. And, I never wonder where she is because she is always nearby.
